Sunday Workdays

Helping out today was a great start to my morning, the weather was beautiful and it was awesome getting to work with other people to get work done. I'd definitely come back again. :)

Did some weed pulling around several plants for the most part. I think that it was great being able to make an area look better just by clearing up a lot of unnecessary weeds.

Working at the community garden was a great experience. After only 3 hours of work, it was easy to see that our efforts had made a difference. Because of the efforts of myself and fellow volunteers, the garden is now much cleaner and significantly weeded. In addition, newly painted picnic tables bring life to the garden, making the space enjoyable for all. It was exciting to see how the efforts of a few individuals can improve the entire community.

In the beginning it was kind of confusing due to the organization, but it went pretty well towards the end of our shift. I got the chance to meet many people and feel like we got stuff done. I'd recommend for the organization to contact people from Green Corn Project to aid them for a better harvest. Overall, it's great with a group of people.

Weather was perfect! Director was super friendly, and we all had a good time in the mud!
