Mental health is a big aspect to us as college students and it is easy to burnout from school and it affect our mental health. This was a good opportunity to learn how I can better identify when I'm not mentally well.

Emotional wellness is a term that describes the skill of comprehending and controlling emotions for positive outcomes and developing the strength to face life's obstacles. It comprises both positive emotional experiences and the development of resilience and self-awareness to establish healthy coping mechanisms. An important benefit of emotional wellness lies in its relationship with clear thinking and better decision-making abilities. People who consistently examine their emotional responses and identify what triggers them tend to choose their actions more deliberately.

I really liked this event. I personally do struggle with my emotional wellness and have been seeing a therapist to help with it. This event really brought up a lot of resources that my therapist provided as well like surrounding yourself with positive people. Having that support makes you feel that you can go keep going. This event also taught me a lot about what can happen when your emotional wellness is not good.
