Earned a certificate on how manage finances for caregivers. Taking care of an old person specially with Alzheimer requires a lot of attention, time, and money. Knowing how to manage your money is the base for a stable life. It was a really interesting online program.

I recently had my first meeting with my Ukrainian buddy, Andrii. We introduced ourselves and shared stories about our lives and interests. Despite being a beginner in English, he's incredibly eager to learn and always strives to improve. Andrii is a wonderful person, and I’m excited to help him with his language skills as much as I possibly can.
After a lot of preparation I had my first trainings with the Avus Connect's technology, they showed me how to use the tablet and most importantly, how to teach the clients regarding the use of their technology. It was a very pleasant experience since I got to know a very easy and intuitive way to reduce isolation and depression among the elderly population.
Such an amazing and diverse experience. I not only attended the webinar but also tested my general knowledge in topics that now I consider very compelling: Breast cancer, geart disease, nutrition, clinical trials, and social determinanrs of health. Even though the zoom was interesting, I believe the best part out of the experience was create 4 different socila media posts about the topics discussed in the webinar in order to spread awareness. Besides researching and learning more by my own, I made a lot of friends and family members acknowledge easy ways to keep a healthy lifestyle. Now that I'm waiting for my certificate, I come to appreciate this experience even more.
Completed the online course for "Understanding Alzheimer's and Dementia". It was amazing to know more about the goals of the association and where they're headed, it's great that the future looks bright and that they will make a lot of progress to treat the disease.
I live with my 2 gradparents, both of them are 83, and learning about the warning signs of Alzheimer was a very useful experience that I will constantly look up again in the future. Not only the warning signs but also the steps of action were explained in the program. Overall, a great experience.
I spent the afternoon supporting in the office, from calling future volunteers to organizing banners and luggage for future events. I'm glad to help and hope to have more opportunities like this soon.
It was amazing, not only for United HomeCare but also for TD Bank and civic engagement. Giving out a lot of opportunities to help the elderly and engage the students in voting was interesting. I hope I can participate in similar events like this in the future.
Hearing Mr. Kastberg's stories and explanations made me realize a whole new world that I'm not very familiar with. I will make use of his experience and how to interact with people that have neurovariations. It was great to listen to his experiences with children's rights, education, nutrition, and how to protect them.
