I got the opportunity to volunteer for Dr. Arguelles with a fellow classmate to represent the CCC in Neuroscience and Aging at the Doral Family Journal workshop in MDC West Campus. It was a great opportunity to share my experiences in the field of mental health throughout the classes of the certificate to many interested people at the event. By sharing my stories in classes like Abnormal Psychology, behavioral Neuroscience, and the 144 hours practicum, I hope more people join the certificate and rich themselves with all the amazing opportunities.

I earned 8 certificates of completion for the Autism Partnership Foundation. I wanted to expand my knowledge and caregiving skills for individuals who are diagnosed with autism and other neurodivergent populations. It is interesting to know the strategies to help these individuals in order for them to succeed in society and live a long life. I watched hourly videos and podcasts that expanded on treatment and future research ideas regarding societal stigmas and misconceptions of people with Autism.
I completed a 3-hour online certification in caregiving skills for patients with dementia through the website "Alison: Empower Yourself" in which I learned more about the different stages of dementia and all the different types of care that have to be deployed depending on the circumstance. It's a really good website because it has hundreds of certifications for professional careers but also to have a better understanding of any professional path you want to follow, for free.
I attended the Cafecito at west campus and had a great experience learning about kidney and brain health. I saw the amazing talent of Dr. Mitchell's students and their awesome musical performance. I also had the opportunity to talk about my projects and work as an officer of the psychology club.
I presented my project "Giving Confidence: Tutoring English to Ukrainian Students and Beyond" at three different conferences. URFIU Conference 2025 and Student Interdisciplinary Symposium at MDC Hialeah Campus as an Oral Presentation, and in SEPA's 71st Annual Conference as a Poster.
