Sunny to partly shaded (by tree cover). Temp 96F, still. No bee activity in pollinator garden at Mayfield Park. Several large carpenter bees nectar robbing Malvaviscus arboreus. Other insect activity: isolated honey bee and red wasp. Lots of dragonflies.
zilker garden for a few minutes before and after a garden club workshop. Saw a lot considering the short time and area. unable to photograph what I believe was a lasioglossum sweat bee on an Echinacea in the herb bed area near the rose arch that is at the top of the stairs at 1216 PM.

Saw 6 southern carpenter, several
American bumbles, and a couple I’m not so sure about. My pictures aren’t the best, but I tried! All uploaded to iNat.
Observed several Megachile bees and one large Carpenter Bee nectaring on Wedelia texana in small gardens in front of and behind the chimney swift tower. No bee activity seen in the cultivated garden plots but there were some species of Lepidotera.
zilker garden. also saw american bumble bee but unable to get image. Popsicle from gift shop sure hits the spot on a hot day!
Zilker Garden. also saw female X. griswoldi foraging on passionvine and turkscap, but unable to get image to post on iNat.
Observed leaf cutter/mason bees and sweat bees on Wedelia texana in pollinator garden behind Chimney Swift Tower and large carpenter bees in cultivated plots 14 (Salvia sp.) and 38 (Malvaviscus arboreus) (. 90F, sunny-partly shady, mostly still. Honey bees on Eysenhardtia texana.
