Today was a great day at the YRCC! I am starting to get to know the kids better, but I hope they will get to know me better soon. Today the kids were educated about America, and were given red, white, and blue popsicles for a fun treat. We also played on the playground, and then I helped in the multipurpose room. We built legos, colored, and did puzzles!
I really enjoyed my first day at the YRCC! I loved getting to know the staff, as well as my peers that are in the same course, Kate and Kaylee. I also had the privileged of meeting the kids. I have been paired with the middles and can't wait to create relationships with them. This day, we played outside on the playground, and then I helped out in the computer lab as kids were getting picked up from the program. Overall it was a great day!
It was so cool getting to be apart of this event and watching other cultures share their traditional dances and music!
I was paired with a sibling and enjoyed my time with them and the community there! I love getting to be apart of this event and what it stands for. I can't wait to help again!!

Working at the Greenland Concession Stand has been one of my favorite service opportunities so far! It was so much fun and everyone was so kind!!
