I had a great time at my second adult social night! We watercolored, had an easter egg hunt, did a devotional, and ended the night with Just Dance. I am so thankful to be apart of the enable ministry as it such a sweet way to serve while making new friendships along the way.
I had a great experience at my first enable social night with Fellowship Fayetteville. We decorated cookies, made flower bouquets, did a devotional, and ended the night playing Just Dance. It was such a fun night and I am so thankful for the new friendships I made!
I loved getting to learn American Sign-Language from Oklahoma School for the Deaf online course. I learned so much and can't wait to use the signs I learned in my future career and when I encounter a deaf/hard-of-hearing individual. Thank you for this opportunity!
I had the opportunity to interview my aunt about her medical history and experience with having a hearing aid, as well as getting to view the results from her audiogram and getting to look at her hearing aids. My aunt has mild to moderate sensorineural hearing loss on her right ear, and mild to moderate-severe sensorineural hearing loss on her left ear. She has had Oticon hearing aids for the past 4 years and has loved them. I am really thankful for this opportunity because I was able to get an outlook from someone special to me, and hear about their experience with hearing aids and how it has impacted them.
I loved attending Bethel Deaf Fellowship Church! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming there despite the language barrier. It was an amazing experience to be immersed into their community and experience what church is like in their congregation. I hope to return someday!
I loved this day because I was able to help at the Friendsgiving Event! I helped the kids make their plates and serve them in any way they needed. After that we danced in the gym to the DJ's music which was so much fun. We also colored Thanksgiving coloring sheets. It was a great way to start off the holiday season!!
