For my social Honors event, I attented the Honors Recess about wellness. I was there from 3 to 3:30 (then I ran to class)! I got a free t-shirt, talked to a few friends and peers, and picked out a succulent. I also talked to Ashley Jo Brown about Razorback Recovery, and talked to Sloane at the Wellness hut/tent. Sloane and I talked about having the same major AND minor, then I decorated a journal with stickers!

On March 9th, I voluntered from 8:30 am to 12 pm for Path Interview Weekend. I was in the office with Edwin and Dean Coon. We interviewed several prospective Path scholars - I believe there were 7 or 8. I had to come up with two questions to ask each of the students and I enjoyed the experience overall!!
I completed a survey sent by Michelle for an hour of volunteer service. This survey was for research surrounding well-being, campus resources, and personal experience. I answered questions about my knowledge of personal well-being and wellness resources on campus. There were additional questions regarding my experience with wellness resources on campus.
For this Honors event (academic), I attended the Honors Hub at the MC Walk-In event. I talked to Chelsea Hodge about scholarships, potentially dropping a class, graduate school and financial aid, and tips for writing my personal statement. We also discussed resources to help with the graduate process and my questions concerning scholarships (she connected me with faculty and staff via email)!
For this opportunity, I made dog toys out of a shirt for one volunteer hour and to count towards attending an ald meeting. I also donated canned food items which counted as volunteer service.
I helped welcome guests as well as helping woth the picture booth and giving directions. Once the event was over I helped take down/clean up the event center area where the bounce houses were(I helped clean off tables and fold up the table cloths). Overall I enjoyed this opportunity!!
I volunteered at the Honors Minority Conference from 3:30 to 4:30. I stood at the Union Stadium Garage ( with other volunteers) to direct guests to Gearhart Hall (although Alexa, Lupita and I never seen anyone at the garage during this hour).
I attented the academic honors event with Loise Hancox. We talked about the basics of graduate school and being a grad student. Like personal statement, references, and we looked at/talked about additional resources to help prepare for grad school!
I completed Madison's Qualtrics survey on food insecurity for an hour of volunteer service.
For my social honors event, I attented the Honors College Recess. We ate ice cream (or popsicles), took pictures and talked to others. I met a few new people in the process!!
