The event was very welcoming and informative.
The launch orientation of the special scholarships went over basic necessities for maintaining the scholarship, resources available for support, and academic tips to graduate on time.
This event was really impactful because I learned about the requirement to maintain my scholarship, and I also learned some new facts about using Canvas and Navigate that I did not know before.
It was something really new to me but I really liked how even students that are in promise were involve and they gave advice on grades. I’ve personally have used their advice over this semester as a freshman I was struggling in a class and asked my wise path advisor for some resources to help me. This event was also fun I made new friends since we got put in groups I was in letter H I believe. They also gave us a tour around the school. During lunch break students also explained how our financial aid was used in the book store. Overall it was a really helpful presentation telling us the requirements to keep the scholarship and about our grades.
I attended my first college orientation and enjoyed getting to know the campus and seeing familiar faces. I learned useful information and left feeling excited and positive about starting college.
This event helped me understand more about the Promise Scholarship and showed me a little about the campus. It showed me how many engagement hours I needed and showed me where to log my impact.
I attended the freshman orientation for the promise scholarship/ wise path on august 5th .
I learned more about what the program is really about, and about what we need to do to stay in the program. I also heard people's experiences through the program, and tips they had to succeed through the courses.
