LAUNCH New Promise Orientation (August 5th Attendees only)

I attended the freshman orientation for the promise scholarship/ wise path on august 5th .

I learned more about what the program is really about, and about what we need to do to stay in the program. I also heard people's experiences through the program, and tips they had to succeed through the courses.

Got to explore campus and was informed on all of the requirements and important info on the scholarship.

I went to the orientation and learned about how the scholarship work and it helped me in learning opportunities and connecting to my school. Thorough opportunities to engage with my school from clubs to how the scholarship helps me in my day to day life and the books store funding my education and pays for textbooks is real time which give me access.

The PGCC promise orientation helped me understand the program better. I learned more about what is expected of scholarship students and the requirements for keeping the scholarship. It also helped me understand the importance of meeting deadlines and staying involved on campus. After attending I feel more prepared for the semester. Overall, It was a great way to get started at PGCC.

Being in the orientation made me sure on how the promise scholarship works and what I need to keep this scholarship, it was really helpful on how college works and I thank the people for making me feel welcome into the college experience.

I got there early and was the first person in my line to get my nametag. We went around to different buildings and rooms like the CPA building. They talked about how to keep our scholarships and how to use give pulse and navigate. We talked to alumni, and some teachers, and there was a scavenger hunt and we had pizza for lunch.

The orientation explained to me in detail the expectations and requirements of the PG County Promise Scholarship. This information will help me excel in my college career.

This was a great experience, I loved learning about all the possibilities that the promise scholarship gives me. I understand what I have to do to keep my scholarship and what puts it at risk.
