Here I was able to learn a lot about different internships. These includes PrimECS. Here they have filed training that is technical and quality compliance. Here with can assist with client communications. Another one I learned about was the National Institutes of Health, the person speaking was part of the Operations and Maintenance such as plumbing. The person speaking talked about resumes and where you could put as much as information in it because the experience you have can be really helpful. I also learned that I need to look around and do research on positions and opportunities that will match my major more.

The title of this event was "Workshop, Time Management." It was at 1:00 pm to 2:00pm. Here we learned about time management. We learned how to save time and why we need time management. We need time management because it can help us save time, reduce stress and help us have more control. Other things that can help us with time management would to remove non essential tasks. These include the tasks that don't have value and that we should focus on the ones that do, the ones that are important.

Fall 2024 Transfer Fair (Virtual)

In this event I learned about different opportunities. Some of the things I learned was about Bowie State University are they don't know if all the classes will have an online or remove option. This is a good thing to know before hand so that I can be prepared with a mode of transportation. I also learned that their application is currently open till Fall 2025. Knowing this will help be prepared beforehand and to make sure I get everything I need to be done by then. Another thing I learned was about are scholarships. These include the Transfer Scholarship and I can apply for a donor scholarship. Being prepared and learning about this information before will help be a lot.

Scholarship Session #1 - Tuesday

In this event I learned a lot about different types of leadership strategies. I learned about multipotentiality and how it allows people to combine different kinds of skills, ideas and knowledge to solve problems in their own ways.
By knowing how to learn about how to learn about your own talents and interests can mean that that person can have so many possibilities and goals to do. There also ways that I learned that i can impact others such as if I used the brilliance strategy then I can influence and contribute to those around me. It can be through leadership and teamwork, these things can help those around me in many ways.

Here I learned about the different types of financial aids. These can include grants that are based off of financial need. These are funded by the state or the federal government or even the college/university. There are also loans that are barrowed money that must be paid back. Other examples are scholarships that are based off of financial need, merit, interest that need an application and do not need to be paid back. For the Honors Academy the expectations are to maintain a 3.5 GPA, perform 15 hrs. of community service service each semester. The deadlines June 1st for fall semester and December 1st for soring semester. Knowing the deadline is really helpful since I can have time to think about it and prepare myself. Knowing where to apply also helps such as communication channels, channels on campus, email, video correspondence and lawn sighs can help me apply on time and correctly.
