Here I was reminded that the hours are due on May 19th. Checking emails during the summer is important since updates are still being sent. If your GPA is below 2.0 then recovery for fall 2025 the summer will still be covered. I also learned that the rules have changed to so that engagement hours need to be earned only at PGCC related events and they must be submitted in 7 days. This will make it easier for to confirmed if that person went to the event.

Here i learned that the SGA is now partnered with the Campus Activity Board, the Student Research Club and the Student Volunteer Club so that they will do Meal Packing to donate to local food pantries. I also learning the Listening Party Cultural Kickback is trying to understanding and introductions to cultures some students may not be familiar with. Their ways include forms of musical entertainment, games and food. This is good thing since it can teach others new knowledge about each other.
Here I learned about the relationship between education and how it relates to personal growth. I also learned about the importance of lifelong learning with achieving personal success. Even through growth of educational and enrichment activities can help as well. These can help us do way better in the things we do and we can learn how to improve ourselves as well.
We learned how to pay for college without debt. Here I learned about financial aid. Some types include grants, scholarships, work study and loans. I learned that for community college you must apply by completing the FAFSA and MHEC-One App. For the PG Promise you must maintain a 2.5 GPA or more. You must pass all classes. I also learned that the grants are awarded by the government, or organization. I also learned that the grants and pell grant do not need to be repaid. These things are good to know because it can be really helpful.
Here we learned how to highlight my skills. Knowing how to make sure my resume is easy to read such as having no difficult fonts is really helpful. This include how headers need to be bold and easy to read. We also learned to have materials needed in advance. I also learned about consistent formatting, education and even skills to include.
Here we learned about the new student portal. Knowing how to find and navigate things can help us access things more easily. We learned where the registration is and where the financial aid is. This new portal in my opinion is easier to access and find things since there are images and different sections for everything. Here we also learned about where to find the advisors. This is good because I can know who to email when i have a question.
Here I learned about how social media can impact us. These can include how people can have self imposed unrealistic expectations. These affects can even include developing perfectionism in the things we do. This can affect mental health, depression and even anxiety. Things we learned that can help us from these bad affects can include developing realistic self image. Embracing your whole self such as your strengths and growth areas are a good step. Learning about how social media affects can help us prevent ourselves from developing these habits.

In this event we learned about different types of inspiring women. Even the women around us can help us better a better person with how they actions and impact can shape us. We learned about how Candida Rose Bapista lost her own mother as a baby but was shaped by many mother figures in her life. This includes how her mentors affected her singing and life. The women around us can help us be the better version of ourselves, they inspire us as well. These things are important for us as people.
I learned about how to use navigate. Having a refresher of knowing where everything is will be really helpful for when I want to do meetings with advisors. There they can help me with graduation and some stuff that I need help with. Here we learned about the best times and worst times to meet with our advisors. Here we also learned about the consequences of withdrawing a course and how it affects such how if you don't officially drop the class we are responsible for tuition and fees.

This event is about on why voting matters and how it is important. Things that were said that if we don't get involved in things nothing will change. Voting and people out our voices out there is really important since it can impact the community. I learned that our voices can make a difference even if is small.
