I attended the Deaf Wine Tasting event at the Tontitown winery. This was a really cool event to attend; there were people who only used sign, people who spoke verbally, and people who used a friend or spouse to communicate for them.
I worked in the nursery at Fellowship Church on 3/12, 3/19, and 3/26 for 6 hours total. I worked the 9:00 service and 10:30 service on each date.
I attended the animal shelter event hosted by the SAB and helped to check people in from 2:00-3:00
I attended the Deaf Coffee Chat event at Panera on 3/25. At this event I got to talk to some of the people there as well as observe interactions. It was really cool to see the Deaf culture of NWA come together.
I attended the Deaf Wine Time at Tonitown Winery in Springdale. I got to sit next to someone who had a cochlear implant and talk to them. They were excited to have students at their event.
I work in the nursery at Fellowship Fayetteville on Sundays. This was for 2/12, 2/19, 2/16, and 3/5.
I completed lessons 2 and 3 through the Oklahoma School For the Deaf's course. I learned some new vocabulary, reviewed the alphabet and got to learn more about the Deaf Culture. We learned how to sign common words like deaf, angry, tall, america, etc.
