Matt Morris is a wonderful volunteer supervisor that takes time to show us special things about plants and critters along the butterfly trail. as well as work beside us to get tasks done quickly. Enjoyed working with volunteers Cindy and Elizabeth and having a stroll to enjoy the pollinators and blooms after. Monarchs, Queens, Zebra Longwing, Ailanthus webworm moth, honey bees, bumble bees, frost weed, datura seed pods, passionvine and more!

CAPP 411 ligustrum invasive plant work with volunteer Sarah. 103 baby ligustrum pulled and 2 multi-trunks girdled using new tools from forestry community grant
passionvine protection next to organic veggie garden clearing out other plants to maximize health of passionvine. Planted some pollinator friendly seedlings to beautify and bountify the area. Anne and Matt are fun to work with and we got the project completed. Enjoyed strolling the butterfly trail after to see what there was to see which were an amazing variety butterflies, bees, plants and more. Frostweed, blue porterweed, gregg's mistflower, cosmos, and cowpen daisy were delightful. Crucita, odorata mist flower should join the blooms soon.
ligustrum CAPP 411 with Charli and Sarah near Blakeney pond
invasive CAPP 411 work with one other volunteer. weather cooling down!
Ligustrum CAPP 411 invasive plant management project with volunteer Sarah for 1 hour. Before picked up trash here and there at Blakeney pond and put in on-site cans, majority was smoking related. After planted 2 very small swamp milkweed grown from seed in sometimes flooded area along pond shore (and hoping for the best). Enjoy working with consistent volunteers to slowly make a positive impact on the area.
