I had an enjoyable time tutoring a young student for an hour daily last week.
I made / still making masks to wear for my family, friends and people in my community. I watched videos on how to make both nonsew and sewn masks from fabric, shirts, and socks. This is important work that will help flatten the curve.
it was awesome tutoring!!!!
I work with Jumpstart organization, and we spend weekday mornings tutoring pre-school children their reading, writing, and social-emotional skills. We usually do it two-days out of every week at Gap Childcare Center, but because of Corona outbreak we had to switch to virtual learning. So instead we just made literacy packets for the children, and shared with their parents.
I have worked voluntarily in a Medical Center called "Medica" in Istanbul, Turkey. I have helped doctors and nurses by reviewing their schedules and reminding them what is next as well as helping them by any other need they have.
I have continued to pick up groceries for the same neighbor as I did last week. It took an hour and a half as I had to wait 40 minutes to get into Trader Joes.
Today, we had fish sticks with rice and beans and a salad as part of the hot food. Along with that, we paired it with PB&J sandwiches.
Staying fit: daily exercise routine, went on a run!
awesome experience great to be outdoors helping people in a time like this
I had a wonderful experience donating blood for the American Red Cross. Hopefully it will be able to benefit someone in need during this difficult time.
