I have worked voluntarily in a Medical Center called "Medica" in Istanbul, Turkey. I have helped doctors and nurses by reviewing their schedules and reminding them what is next as well as helping them by any other need they have.
As I continue going to Crossroad at St. Barts Church, I find that I am slowly making for friends as well as constantly meeting new people. I've heard so many different stories and had many interesting conversations with the other volunteers. Even though these times are bad, we're still able to chat and keep the mood lively!
Read and wrote feedback on poems for the Free Minds Book Club blog for incarcerated youth and young adults who are participating in book and writing clubs.
I helped my friend Aarushi Kapoor learn Excel for her upcoming internship. I taught her basic formulas and pivot tables. I taught her for 2 hours for 3 days.
I organized an event in conjunction with the GW Career Center. It was a virtual and open event with two career coaches to answer students' questions about jobs, internships, and online resources to help and volunteer. Approximately 50 people attended.
I cooked a new beef and broccoli recipe for dinner with my family.
I cleared out my closet and donated a pile of clothing to a Planet Aid clothing bin.
It was a great feeling to be able to give back to the community and tutor a student online last week.
