I researched and found that one of the most harmful and invasive species out there. In my back yard, which leads to a county park, there has been bamboo ravaging the land since I remember. Essentially, bamboo is an extremely harmful invasive species that wraps its roots around the native plants in the area and kills them. I took it upon myself to cut down the bamboo, filling up 8 biodegradable bags issued by my county's worth. While I wasn't able to get all the bamboo bagged, I intend on using the excess shoots to help support the tomatoes in my at-home garden my family and I have been building.

I brought supplies to 3 apartments today. By now I know most of the people I deliver to and usually have 5-minute chats with each of them. Starting on Friday, the government declared a curfew for everyone regardless of age until the end of Sunday. Although its technically forbidden for people my age to go outside, when I explain that I’m only going to the supermarket for a special task, not for my own leisure, the policemen usually leave me alone. During my small trip between the market and the apartments, I can witness firsthand the effect of the Coronavirus and the curfew on the social scene. While the masks that cashiers wear are necessary for health, they make them look more inhumane and hard to contact with, and therefore small talk is almost nonexistent in the supermarket. But when I go to the apartments, the people who know me show an incredible desire to connect and socialize even though I have my mask on, which shows that any type of connection and interaction has become rare and valuable in this difficult time of isolation.

I tutored a high school student on methods to score higher on all sections of the SAT, while demonstrating approaches for different types of questions on each section of the SAT. I ensured his comprehension and application of several types of formulas utilized on the Math Section, while showing him tricks as to how he could manage his time to get the through the Math section efficiently. Those are some of the things that I taught him. Overall, I enjoy tutoring Solomon, as he is easygoing and learns quickly. Moreover, it helped me reinforce information that is useful in regards to quantitative and qualitative skills.

I transcribed letters from the Smithsonian again and got the project to about 50% completion with a few other volunteers and it was at 0% when we started so I thought that was pretty cool.
