I was able to be a part of the job fair! There were a lot of good opportunities there and we talked to everybody who had a setup. They had the sheriffs, svrs, fedex, a place for foster parents, plus more! Of course, I went to mention to everyone that I’m a part of the Karen Hearts Foundation and we help mentor the youth and a LOT of them were excited to want to do something together. Looking forward to getting a job as well as working with new people for the foundation.

I was super excited to going to this event . We were blessed with the opportunity to go to Escapology to do an escape room and ooommmmgggg! It was a fantastic time. This was my first experience at an escape room, and it was worth everything. We worked together REALLY WELL and escaped with a few minutes to spare. The other mentors and mentees in the program were really nice and welcoming. Everyone couldn’t stop talking about it and I’m glad we could get there and share more positivity.

It was a really good interaction and first time for me helping with the presentation. I was nervous, but the energy and positivity that it went away quickly. Just getting to express and see where everyone’s heads were at and talk about it was really amazing. I’m super excited, happy, and ready to keep this ball rolling and make as many impacts as we can!

This was my actual “ omg “ moment. I realized that my involvement and passion for the youth and making my own impact has elevated my personal and professional life. It’s given me more confidence to be able to speak, knowing it could change and impact someone who’s listening and willing. It allowed me to see myself in a bigger light for those who need it, including myself.

It was a great experience. To have some youth there, to the fun things everyone could do, to the panel at the end, it was all spot on! I got up there and “performed” and really enjoyed the energy from the whole setup. The panel was a REALLY impactful experience. We talked about the system, the impact of having someone you know there for you, the differences is environments and upbringing, as well as how the work being put in can affect someone positively. It was such a great experience.

I was given the opportunity to be a part of this program, as well as the Karen Hearts Foundation. It has been a GREAT opportunity since I’ve been a part of everything. I’ve learned a lot, heard from a lot of different and amazing people, and have enjoyed learning more things that will be positively beneficial for everyone involved and wants to be involved! I’m appreciative of EVERYTHING as far as the kids, everyone involved, the events, I love everything about it ALL! I really am appreciative of being here, being a part of something AMAZING, and giving a positive impact on things and people that I can. This has been one of the most best, humbling experiences I’ve had in a WHILE.
