I helped people organize what they needed to file their taxes. I made sure they had any forms or paperwork for their tax information to be sent to the UCA accountants for filing.

I took a dog out for the day and bought it a toy to play with as well as some treats! I went and walked her around, took her for a drive, and let her take a nice nap on my couch. She was super happy and sweet the whole time and I think she had a good time.

I went and helped with a pop up adoption spot they had in front of the neighborhood pet shop, I helped them with watching the dogs and walking them, I also helped them take down their equipment when it was over. I went back to the shelter afterwards to help unload the trailer and I walked a dog so she could have a little freedom from her cage. I also assisted in showing another volunteer around because both of the employees on staff were busy and just needed some assistance.

I washed out food bowls, cleaned toys and bedding, helped clean out cages, cleaned litter boxes, and got to socialize with the dogs and cats! I really enjoyed being there and seeing that the workers do genuinely care about the animals in their care. Knowing I was helping them have less to do really made me happy and I’m so glad I got the chance to be there!
