In the session, we had Ms. Burke from PGCC to discuss about becoming a health navigator. Ms. Burke spoke about the career of a health navigator, the salary, role, education, etc.
During the session, the Student Engagement & Leadership team celebrated Irish Heritage by inviting a guest speaker, Jeffrey Herbert. Mr. Herbert began by explaining a bit of history. Then, he began playing and singing a few songs. It was a lovely experience to watch a performance with bagpipes and a guitar.
The GivePulse Training meeting was very informative. Mr. Cruz went over several features on GivePulse including how to log in your hours, how to register for events, how to join the Special Scholarships group, and so on. This meeting was really needed because I’ve discovered why the rest of my hours were only showing on my side but not showing on the Special Scholarship Team’s side. I was able to fix my mistake and plan to look over everything before login my hours to avoid any problems.
During the End-of-the-Year Semester Meeting, the Special Scholarship team discussed various changes to the Promise Scholarship policy. For instance, there will 5 mini-meetings to attend in case anyone misses any of the main meetings. The team has gone over several topics including FASFA, Give Pulse, scholarship requirements, and more.

I’ve enjoyed attending the following meeting. I’ve learned how the trip is organized, where the trip will take place, how to fund the trip, and so on. We will also be given the chance to explore, learn the different cultures and cuisine. The opportunity to travel abroad seems great and I will definitely consider it.
PGCC's OSSA club hosted a donation drive last month. Clothes, shoes, coats, toiletries, and more were collected. I donated over 70 items, including clothes, shoes, and toys.
Note: The OSSA can be contacted through Instagram at @pgcc_ossa.
We were introduced to one of the representatives from Towson Univerity. We were informed of Towson's programs offered to medical students. They offer a program in which you can attend Towson and PGCC to receive your BSN. We were informed of the requirements, the required courses, and more.
