During the meeting, students were showed a presentation on how our posts and presence on social media can affect how we are viewed by our employers in the job market. Students were given an exercise pretending to be an employer looking over applications for new hires. We then identity whether each applicant was fit for our company or not.

During the meeting, students were introduced to the head of the Allied Health and Nursing program. She and Ms. Stubbs explained the LPN Certificate Program and the RN AS Degree. They explained the requirements of both programs, showed some of the required courses, and went over the salaries. Then they did a Q&A for all students.

During the meeting, we were introduced to a representative from the Grand Canyon University. We were informed of the Dual Enrollment and Transfer Program offered at Grand Canyon University. Students are able to take online courses from Grand Canyon University while enrolled at PGCC. With enough credits we would be able to transfer over to Grand Canyon University to finish our BSN in Nursing.

During the meeting, we were introduced to a representative from the University of Towson. She introduced us to the Dual Enrollment and Transfer program Towson is providing for PGCC Nursing students. This program allows PGCC Nursing students to being their BSN in Nursing online at Towson while enrolled at PGCC. Gaining enough credits will allow you to transfer over to Towson and complete your BSN. But you have to finish your AS degree at PGCC first before transferring.

During the meeting, students were introduced to some representatives from UMD. We were then introduced to the Public Health Practice Degree at UMD. We were informed of the program and were shown some of the courses we would take, the requirements of the program, talked about any scholarships we could apply for, how to register, etc. Then we were introduced to a UMD student in the UMCP. She talked about her experiences, her college life, and her future goals in the program going forward.

During the meeting, students were introduced to one of the many professors of the Nursing Program. She told us about the Medical Assisting program. Students were informed of the requirements, required courses, what the profession is about, and the salary.

From November 3-7 was Early Advising Week for Nursing and Allied Health students. On Monday November 3rd, students spoke with Ms. Stubbs, Ms. Mary, and Ms. Monica. Each lady introduced themselves and each began to explain a bit about the Nursing program. They showed students the various careers they can go into and the incomes of each career. Afterwards, there was a Q&A session after the presentation.

During the Healthy Relationships and Communication mini session, we discussed what a healthy relationship looks like, and we listed some of the green flags in a healthy relationship. We then discussed what an unhealthy relationship looks like and what are the red flags are in an unhealthy relationship. We also discussed the difference between rules and boundaries and how to apply them in each of our relationships, whether the relationship is between family members, romantic partners, or friends.

During the Strive Kick-Off meeting, the organizers of the event had prepared a presentation. Throughout the presentation, each presenter introduced themselves and discussed what the program is and what it's about. They also discussed about their criteria about staying in the program, their Strive Academy, and much more.

During the Refresh session, the SSP team reviewed a few things for students about the scholarship. For example, they went over how to use give pulse and how to login our hours, the requirements needed in order to be in good standing with the scholarship and went over how many services we need and what events counted towards our required 15 hours. The team made the presentation less boring by making it into a Kahoot game, which was nice.
