This leadership lab allowed me to really reflect on what has shaped me to grow into the leader I am, but also to be more cognizant of what's hindering my growth as a leader. Mr. Green's presentation gave me a lot of perspective on how leadership is individualized to you and the intentionality that's required to better ourselves whether that be through words, actions, or mentorship.
This town hall was informative, as the SGA updated us on the past and future initiatives being done to support the student body. We learned about the learning and student resources available on campus and got the opportunity to speak with the Vice President and other department leaders about our questions and concerns.
This mini session was highly informative as Mr. Elio guided us through GivePulse, and he and Ms. Sharber addressed all our questions to ensure a smooth experience with the GivePulse platform throughout the semester.
This meeting was really informative as the SSP team spoke to us about the program and academic requirements needed for us to be successful within promise.
This spring formal was one of CAB’s biggest productions this school year! We spent time decorating the DSC Lounge with our floral decor, served food to students throughout the night, and had a PGCC student live band playing! It was definitely a lot of fun curating this event and seeing our work come to life!
This meeting was very informative as the SSP team discussed the expectation of the Promise program and answered questions we had about our academic requirements/ needs.
This meeting was really informative as Dr. Diana Wilkins helped us navigate planning for the future after obtaining our associate's degree at PGCC. She directed us to a variety of resources to identify potential paths, explore different programs at educational institutions, and obtain a higher degree, in addition to what employers are looking for.
The summit was an amazing experience. I had the opportunity to present my research project on developing a health communications tool about childhood measles, which I’ve been working on in my health communications class at Howard Community College. It was also really interesting to attend presentations from students at surrounding colleges, and that pushed me to step outside of my comfort zone and grow. I’m especially grateful for Professor Burke’s guidance and support throughout the development of my project.
This meeting was very informative, as Ms. Johnson helped us understand how to navigate some of the common situations that arise during adulthood.
