Volunteering with the Board of Elections was a rewarding experience that reinforced my commitment to civic engagement. By inputting voter data, I helped maintain accurate records essential for fair elections. This experience gave me insight into election administration and the importance of detail in upholding democracy.
During Honors Weekend, I was able to help incoming students prepare for their interviews by giving them advice and just overall being a support system for them. I was also a lunch usher where I was able to help serve and prepare lunches for the plethora of interviewers interviewing the students for the various scholarships.
I volunteered as a judge for the FIRST LEGO League competition, where I had the opportunity to evaluate and support kids showcasing their engineering skills. The event highlighted their creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork as they built and programmed LEGO robots to solve real-world challenges. Being a judge allowed me to encourage young minds in STEM and witness firsthand the innovative spirit of future engineers.
The girl who helped me was very kind and helpful.
