I was blessed with the opportunity to attend the College of Engineering Alumni Donor Reception as a volunteer, as I am a College of Engineering Ambassador. Over the course of this night, I networked with department heads and business leaders of prestigious companies such as Corning.
At the College of Engineering Welcome Back picnic, I volunteered as a College of Engineering Ambassador, as I passed out Class of 2025 shirts to incoming freshmen and transfer students. In the process of volunteering at this event, I was able to network with a myriad of other students here at A&T, while also imparting wisdom when possible.
During the College of Engineering Welcome Week Scavenger Hunt, I was able to meet incoming students to the College of Engineering and engage with them as they explored various buildings within the college. In the process, I helped pass out tickets to students, and provided them with crucial advice as the prepared to start their first semester here at A&T.
By volunteering, I was able to make large scale landscaping and organizational improvements for the institution, while also learning of their impact and initiatives.
By volunteering for the February One Breakfast Celebration, I was able to remember and honor the A&T four and their courageous acts on February 1st, 1960. Volunteering also allowed me to meet with many prominent leaders within the community and across the nation.
By volunteering at the 2024 NC Folk Festival, I could see how diverse the Greensboro community was, and engage in a wide variety of cultures and ideals while informing the community of opportunities offered at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
