Today was my first time volunteering at the Blazer Kitchen. My favorite part of the experience was working with fellow volunteers and getting to know them, as well as the shoppers. The most challenging part of today was learning how to fill orders and weigh them. However, I got the hang of it with the help of the other volunteers. I noticed that everyone was willing to help each other learn. The weather was rainy today, so I thought there might be a lack of shoppers, but it was still busy. My key takeaway is that Blazer Kitchen is doing impactful work that reaches a multitude of people.
