When I got to the school the counselor was so welcoming she told us a lot about the school and the kids that we were going to meet. Meeting the kids I was a little nervous but they were so sweet and kind. My partner and Ihad two groups; they were a kindergarten class and a third grade class. We played fun games to interact with them and we also were active listeners. They were so outspoken, especially the kindergartners. The third grade class was so excited about missing their physical education one a week to meet with us which was very shocking because every kid loves PE. I cannot wait to go back it was such a great experience.

I loved the domestic violence simulation! Mrs.Wilkerson is such a awesome instructor I’ve learned a lot from her I would like to attend more of her classes.

I absolutely love volunteering with the YMCA women empowerment group. I learned so much from this class on different things women go through either it’s with relationships or child abuse. The instructor was very helpful in guiding us and I got to meet so many different women.
