I volunteered at the Jackson House over Easter Weekend and helped sorted donation at their thrift store so they could put them out on the shelves later on. I love volunteering at the Jackson House during my time in Hot Springs, AR because it is what I grew up doing and it brings me back to all of those times.

This Honor's Event was called Getting What you Need from Faculty and in it I learned how to make good connections with professors. I have been over all of these steps a million times, but I think that this was a good step by step way of thinking about how to communicate with a professor and create a connection to them that they will remember and i don't think anyone can every hear about this enough which is why I chose to go to this event.
I went to the Salvation Army and I helped they rotate their inventory, so they could get out new items for people to look through and purchase.
I attended the Study Abroad Basics Honor's Event hosted by Dr. Chelsea Hodge. This was a good refresher on how to start the process of doing a study abroad program. I have been going back and forth on when I wanted to do my study abroad and this was a nice way of going back through the basics of how to get to process going for when the time comes for me to start filling out everything.
I went to the Jackson House in Hot Springs, AR over thanksgiving break and I help bag and put prices on items donated to their thrift store. Most of what I worked with this day was bags and a bunch of little kids toys.
I attended the Research Abroad Honor's Event given by Chelsea Hodge. At this event I learned about what I could do in order to complete research abroad and all of the different options. I have been very interested in studying abroad since before I entered college and I really wanted to know all of my options. This was a very informative event that gave me insight into a form of study abroad that i didn't even know existed.
I volunteered at the Jackson House Thrift Store in Hot Springs, Arkansas and organized and sorted donations from people in our community. I always love volunteering at the Jackson House whenever I am back home.
This was such a fun way to give back to people who need it. A large group of us helped bag hygiene kits that others had decorated. We filled 300 hygiene bags.
I volunteered at the Jackson House in Hot Springs, AR over Thanksgiving break. The Jackson House is a nonprofit in Hot Springs that provides services such as daily lunches, groceries, clothing, and christmas gifts for children during the holiday season. I have worked in every position possible over my years of volunteering at the organization and this last time I volunteered I was given the opportunity to help with the back end of the organization inputting client data into their database as a way to help out. I have had nothing but great experiences volunteering with this organization and anytime I am home for any reason I love making sure I can volunteer there.
