We went on a walk around campus and ended up in the Union. We hung out and had a snack there! Then we walked back to Morgan Hall and ate dinner.
We attended an event in Morgan Hall and we finger-painted! After this, we watched our weekly Wheel of Fortune.
My mentee and I ate dinner at True Burger in the Union. We then walked back to his dorm and we played pool with another mentor and mentee!
We ate dinner at Fulbright and we caught up and talked about our summers. We established new plans for this semester. We went through his history notebook and he showed me some of his drawings that he added! We ended our session with our traditional Wheel of Fortune watch party!
We hung out at the EMPOWER mentor/mentee social. We went bowling and had a great time socializing with others!
My mentee and I colored for a bit and just chatted. We then hung out in the lobby with some other mentors and mentees. It was really fun and we just chatted about our summer plans.
We first looked at her homework and finished that in no time at all! My mentee and I caught up, and we discussed our summer plans! We did this while coloring in her coloring books. I love how creative she is.
I picked my mentee up at Morgan Hall to take her to the pizza social at Wilson Park! We both had a blast and socialized with other mentees and mentors. It was such a great opportunity to meet new people!
I hung out with another mentor and mentee on Wednesday! We visited some friends and went to Sonic!
I shadowed the trained dental assistants as they assisted the doctors in extractions. I also helped with sterilization after each patient. This free extraction clinic is an amazing way to grow a new perspective on dentistry. It allows volunteers to appreciate the patients and their gratefulness as we serve the community.
