About
EMPOWER is a program at the University of Arkansas for students with a mild Intellectual Disability. Students attend traditional college classes on campus for audit and participate in campus activities. Peer mentors work with EMPOWER students to explore the campus, participate in activities, eat lunch, and work on any homework as needed. Peer mentors also attend class as needed with students to assist.
Shifts/time vary from day to day and weekend shifts are flexible to accommodate the student and mentors schedule.

For all mentors currently volunteering with the program or interested in volunteering, we would like to know who is planning to volunteer again in the fall. Please send an email to aw008@uark.edu with thoughts and comments and let me know your status for the fall.
Thanks,
