It was fun planting trees in one of our public parks. In fact, it was my first time doing it, and it felt amazing when people came up to us and said "thank you."
I helped at the registration table, first shift, where I registered every aerospace major individual who was going to attend the fall festival for aerospace engineers only. I met a lot of people, and felt great that I was doing something for my department, by being more than a student. As a volunteer, I directed the people to places where they could serve themselves some food, play some games, and socialize with other people in their major.
An experience I will never forget. I helped as a corporate liaison at the 2014 Engineerin EXPO Career Fair. After some training, I directed the companies' recruiters where they had to go to set up their tables, as well as students who were looking for a company to talk to. I assisted the recruiters in order for EXPO to run smoothly. It felt great, hearing the "Thank You's" from so many professional and important people.
