This event was one of Autoholics of Texas' main initial events for new members. I assisted in organizing the event and making sure it went as smoothly as possible. Also, assisted in making sure everyone got to the designated locations by giving directions, maps, and ushering people there. Helped the new members become more social by assisting in ice-breaker activities, while also making sure that everyone was having a wonderful time. Naturally, I assisted in the preparation and the post-clean up. It was a decent amount of work but I had a fun time while I was there and loved meeting new people!

Everyone was friendly and kind. The tasks were simple yard/garden work but was enjoyable nonetheless especially with other people.
I helped organized the event, ushered cars/people to their destination, planned the dinner and made sure everyone made it there and was not lost. Made sure that nobody was shy or felt awkward; performed ice-breakers with many people to made sure they feel as comfortable as possible so they could enjoy themselves. In addition, I assisted with setting up at the beginning and cleaning up at the end. I was informed that the goal of the event was to get people with common interests to get together, get out of their "shyness shell" and make new friends. The whole event was a great experience and it was a great feeling knowing that you helped make the whole event go as smoothly as it did.
