3 others attended this work day which turned out cool and sunny, a surprise after recent snow. We spiffed up the pollinator bed and almost threw out the Tx Star hibiscus by accident but rescued and replanted just in time. The compost got turned and trash emptied. Santa was visiting the Rec center and there were free pancakes and all kinds of fun besides Santa so we had some drop in families for garden tours. Herb key hole bed was a big hit since they got to smell some herbs with one kid saying the oregano reminded him of pizza, impressive culinary ability indeed.

Outstanding group of hard-working volunteers for this event! We mulched, removed invasive plants, planted native plants, distributed native wildflower seeds, did fall maintenance on an established native plant bed, picked up and recycled trash, cleaned up a large brush pile hazard and built community. We shared pictures of the event. The support from Austin Parks Foundation, the sponsors of the event, and City of Austin staff with PARD and Watershed is much appreciated and made our work possible. Thank you!
