Today at Courage I got to quietly observe a group of kids work on patience, teamwork, amongst other things while also interacting with horses. It was really great to see how the kids places their trust not only with each other but also with the horse who they were leading around blind folded. Although it was a challenging task the kids had to complete it was easy to tell that they were all having a good time and I was amazed at their patience with the horses but also with each other and themselves.

Today I got to work with Chelsea again at Courage. This week was really great for me because I began to see Chelsea and I's relationship really grow. Usually for the past couple of weeks I stayed kind of quiet and only talked when I was asked questions because I was not sure how the people at Courage wanted to me interact with Chelsea. However, this week Chelsea and I had many conversations and had a lot of fun! It was also amazing to see her and Abby's connection grow.
Today I got to work with Chelsea again. During our time Chelsea caught her horse Abby. She also doomed her and got to ride her for a while. I really enjoyed today because I love watching Chelsea and Abby's bod grow. I also like that Chelsea and I are getting to know each other better and we are becoming friends.
Today I volunteered at Courage and met Chelsea. During her lesson we groomed her horse and led the horse around the arena. It was really nice to meet Abbie and I am excited to volunteer every Thursday and see her.
Last Tuesday I got to go to Courage stables and learn about different types of therapy horses and how they can benefit different kinds of riders. This will be useful when I am volunteering because it will help me to better understand the horse and the rider and how I can make them feel both safe and confident.
Today I got to interact with horses in my class Equine Therapy and Assisted Activities. As a class we got to observe how different therapy horses react to people and objects. It was really cool to see how horses with very different personalities can both be used for therapy but in different ways.
I volunteered again at the barn and helped again with giving kids trail rides. I also gave a few riding lessons to beginner riders. There was a birthday party there that day and I helped clean the barn and get it ready.
I volunteered at Trinity River Farms Horse Camp, and helped groom the horses. I also gave trail rides to young kids.
We made meals together as a chapter for the less fortunate.
