It was great to return back to the Concho Community Garden. We did a lot today in that we took out the weed of the plot of land we were going to plant. We then planted various plants like mint, aloe, mustard, and others in the plot. Even though a lot of people go to help, there are always things to do at the garden which makes me feel helpful and I like that you do not need gardening experience to volunteer.

Pulled weeds and watered plants. We also planted new plants and took out grass using shovels.

I really enjoyed my time at the garden and although it was very hot outside, it was relaxing! I am always glad to help. I picked weeds in the different lots, turned soil, shoveled, and took up grass during my time.
