(virtual) SGA Town Hall/ Q&A meeting with PGCC's President (March)

Wednesday, March 25th, 2026 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm (ET)
Mahia Mazabin

I attended the townhall meeting today and was able to listen to a number of people running for office. It was very insightful and I liked being able to listen to all of their campaigns, which touched on a number of topics of what they would do if they got the role. The meeting also tracked back to previous meeting topics and addressed things such as if the Largo campus has gotten wifi in the parking lot yet.

The meeting was very informative. They provided a recap of earlier updates as well as upcoming plans for PGCC. I’m looking forward to seeing what changes here.

This virtual town hall meeting was really helpful because I learned more about what the school offers and what is going on around campus. One thing that stood out was the PGCC Finance Center and how it helps students with financial aid, managing money, along with filing taxes. They also talked about renovations happening on campus. Another important topic was how schools are responding to ICE. I learned that professors are given guidance on what to do and how to protect students’ rights.

At this town hall meeting, I learn the lunch room is coming back, but not any time soon. And that ICE isn't allowed to ask us for ID.
