I packaged up diapers and worked on inventory, stocking books and diapers. So cool to do something hands on!
Packed diapers to distribute to family’s in need.
The staff at the diaper bank was very friendly and willing to help us learn how they operate their organization! We repackaged diapers, stocked the shelves, and packaged orders for different organizations.
On September 21st, Make a Difference Day, I volunteered with the Diaper Collective which is an organization that will give families in need any baby necessities. I mostly wrapped the diapers and made sure they were neat and clean. I enjoyed this opportunity because it was very nice being able to do something with a great cause and to help the organization keep running.
I worked the third shift at the Diaper Bank from 2:00pm to 4:00 pm. I learned how to wrap the diapers in groups of 25. I was not very good at this, so i opted to help fill orders. To do this, I picked the size and amount of diapers that was requested for each agency. I then recounted all my orders to double check all the sizes and amounts were correct.
The Diaper Collective is such an amazing initiative for the NWA community, and I am so happy I was able to be a part of it.
