Miss Hunter talked about the qualifications for different internships such as marketing intern, legislative policy intern, and the behavior health intern and what these look like. Miss Tiffany talked about weaving a wiser world and certain ways we can volunteer and help out. She talked about A simple way to honor earth day, the NWA Time Exchange and the MayDay community kitchen. Thank you!
Great!
This zoom talked about Internship and volunteer opportunities, the Arkansas support network talked about their goals are to support the empowerment and inclusion of individuals with disabilities. They provide high-quality, person-directed support services. They have behavioral health services that deal with individualized support planning, and consultations within the homes. I found this group very impactful as I used to work with people with disabilities and was very interested in learning about what they do and how they help in many different ways.
OMNI center for peace also spoke, their mission is peace, justice, and thriving earth. People who want to learn how to garden, and grow things that help them learn to take care of their food needs. She also spoke about the MayDay community kitchen, which cooks meals and feeds homeless people in Walker Park every Wednesday afternoon. I really enjoyed hearing about the different opportunities this group offers and loved learning more about what they do.
Nice informative Zoom about internships and things to get involved in!
I loved learning about Omni's purpose!
