For this hour I was switched to make the lava lamps with the kids. It was really fun they really enjoyed decorating them and make it their own, I like the control chaos that was going on during the process. The parents were also surprised that we knew what lava lamps were, as I learned they were most popular in the 70s! There was another volunteer that came in towards the end of my shift and I helped teach her what I was doing to ensure that the children get the most out of their experience at KSED.

It was a great experience, I had fun interacting with the kids and parents. The people running the event were super nice and helpful. I would 100% recommend to other volunteers to help in the future as well as families to participate in this event!
