Find Your Impact Session 5: Sustainability!

I watched the zoom and learned about more volunteer opportunities around Fayetteville!

I thoroughly enjoyed sitting in on this meeting to hear from local environmental groups on how to get involved locally. I have been looking for opportunities just like these ones to spend time outside educating, learning, and keeping our green spaces clean.

This zoom was very eye opening

I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the different ways I can get involved in the community. Whether that is through out door events/activities or other community service, these speakers showed me the many different options I have when wanting to get involved.

I joined the zoom meeting for Find Your Impact Session 5: Sustainability. Three VAC partner agencies spoke to students about different volunteer opportunities on and off campus. I learned that I can volunteer by picking up trash from trails and parks, I can remove invasive plants, and help the water shed that supplies our water. I learned that there is a Tsa-La-Gi and Town Branch Trail Cleanup on Saturday November 19th as well that I can participate in. This event will include walking through the trails and picking up any trash that we see. Overall, I learned a lot about different ways to get involved and I thought it was really cool that I could have a trail named after me!
