Although Deanna cancelled this cleanup. I was there and volunteerly did pick up a LOT of trash despite wind. It is always a rewarding experience to clean up our parks!!
Really grateful to all the volunteers that registered.
Disappointed about gusty winds cancellation I had to make the call for to keep volunteers safe.
A few volunteers missed the cancellation memo and showed up and really wanted to pick up some trash, so we got at least 6 bags of trash from park and along the trail. Volunteers encouraged to do a trash pick up on the trail on another day to still give back in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. and in celebration of his birthday. We hope to have better weather for next year's event around MLK Day.
