There wasn't any specific work that needed to be done, so I just helped to organize any shelf that needed to be reorganized. I also stocked the fridge with some new drinks they had, and reorganized the snack shelves.
I reorganized the shelf with all their stuffed animals on it, as well as unloaded about 10 newly donated trash bags full of stuffed animals. I helped to restock the store where it was needed, and reorganized some of the toy shelves.
Today at the Safety Center was my first day that I really got into the groove and did things all on my own! Today I also got to meet Cramer and that was super exciting. The kids absolutely love to see Cramer and put such a sweet smile on their face. Compared to last week it was a lot less busy and it was just the normal amount of foot traffic. I can't wait to keep learning and seeing things volunteering here.
On Thursday, 2/27 I volunteered at the front desk at the CSC. This day was pretty slow, we only had a few clients come in. I was able to interact with a few different clients and enjoyed talking to them. I am starting to get the hang of where things are located and I now know my way around much better!
They got a ton of new donations of food, so I helped organize the already had food as well as unboxed and shelved the newly brought in donations. I also helped to restock the store for the clients.
