I actually had fun despite needing hours. I'm proud to see the graduates gain their degrees and embarking a new chapter! It was an amazing experience especially when we were taken to the VIP section, truly used the staff privileges. Would definitely sign up again.
I learned about the Tessy Homecare company and met the employer Dr.M. She's very outgoing and emphasizes strong professionalism with empathy through her company. She's very expressive and seems to be kind. She spoke highly of her coworkers and the goals they wish to achieve through their work. Presentation was aspiring and learned about their application process.
I went with my sister, so had to buy an extra ticket. It was well acted and beautiful. First play I've attended at PGCC and it surpassed the expectations I had. I look forward to future plays!
This session was about the Nursing programs which were four depending on your situation and expertise. This session was informative as it had multiple requirements before being accepted in the program such as taking a drug tests, update vaccinations and more. Furthermore, we had the chairman with us, speaking about the available opportunities and personal experience as a nurse. She gave examples about sacrifices needing to be made and importance on having a good support system. The discussion was eye-opening and made me think about the future career I aspire to have in the medical field.
It was a presentation about the medical assistant program. Very informative and seemed very fun and didn't have much requirements. The prerequisites needed was passing Engl-1010, a math class, and take the class on medical terms. Additionally learned that it's becoming a popular choice in employers as well. This helped me in making my decision of what program I wanted to follow under the Health Science Department.
I joined the virtual quiz from SGA and it was really fun. Loved the quality of information about the languages, music, and cultures. Sister and I were very involved in the Kahoot (we took it very seriously). Unfortunately, I finished in 6th place but I enjoyed the overall event.
I'm happy I participated in the meeting as I needed tips to improve my resume. Very informative as it touched on the types of resumes people can submit depending on your circumstances in looking for employment. Additionally, they explained the do's and don't's like voicemail should be formal or ensure to update your LinkedIn account.
This was my first time attending a virtual career workshop. My program is in allied health and nursing, so I spoke to three representatives in the department. They were CCI, Touched Angels, and VHC Health. I'm considering them as future job opportunities and learn that all three require some form of certification. CCI need an MA certificate while the other two require a CPR certification. All three provides good benefits and are within 30 minutes from where I live. I enjoyed the event and would recommend others to join as well.
