Just learning about the requirements I needed just to make sure I was on track was very refreshing
On May 3rd, Prince George’s Community College played one of the toughest baseball games I’ve ever watched them go through. They fought hard, but they ended up losing late in the game after a couple of defensive mistakes and missed opportunities at the plate. You could feel the energy shift the crowd got quiet, the players got frustrated, and the momentum just slipped away
Watching the baseball game showed me how important communication and teamwork are in baseball. It also made me realize how much patience and discipline the sport takes. Seeing the game with my friend made it more fun to talk about the plays and reflect on what was happening during the game.
“I learned about being in the real world world I leaned about money management.”
PGCC took a tough 13–3 loss, but honestly the score wasn’t the whole story. I saw him out there giving everything hustling, staying locked in, not quitting once. And the team had good moments too, even if it didn’t show on the scoreboard. They kept fighting the whole game, and that effort meant more than the final score.
At the event, I worked one-on-one with seniors to help them with their phones and computers. I helped troubleshoot problems, explained how to stay safe online, and showed them how to use basic apps
Baseball was kinda fun to watch at the game. It wasn’t super fast the whole time, but when something actually happened, like a big hit or strikeout, it got really exciting.
