This session with the American society of mechanical engineers was insightful because it showed us opportunities that were out there for us and the leadership roles that we could be getting into in the college to represent the organization.

This was a fun trip at the Bechtel Engineering company where we got to see their signature train and also get a taste of how they build their projects using the 4D system to visualize before creating.

This session called Soft skills to get and keep a job was insightful towards the behavior and skills needed in the workspace as well as some negatives when it comes to interacting with coworkers and customers.

I attended the virtual transfer fair and went to the UMD mtap informational session where my questions concerning requirements and benefits were answered.

In the zoom meeting, we talked about the different factors that makes a good resume such as the skills, education, and experience. We also talked about the proper way to express your job experience to showcase your strong skills.

We talked about the do’s and dont’s of using givepulse and the steps to adding an impact after an event. Also, we got a walkthrough of manually adding impacts to givepulse when the event isn’t showing.

I spoke again at the current attending students / alumni panel as a FAM leader sharing my experiences and advice for the upcoming promise scholars.

I attended the refresh meeting where we went through an informational session of where our gpa needs to be at, the administrators to meet for help, and other essentials to having a great semester.

I spoke about my experience with the promise scholarship program as a FAM leader at the LAUNCH panel and we talked about other helpful resources that new students needed to learn about.

We talked about the requirements needed to remain in the program for the different terms and also did some pop up quizzes to see if we understood the requirements.
