Served as a volunteer usher during the official chartering and inaugural induction ceremony for the newly launched Macon-Middle Georgia Section of the National Council of Negro Women, Inc. Assisted event organizers with guest check-in, program distribution, seating coordination, and VIP transitions for community leaders, inductees, and attendees. Provided direct event support to ensure the smooth operational flow of the ceremony celebrating the expansion of NCNW’s advocacy in civic engagement, youth development, social justice, and economic empowerment across Middle Georgia.
Assisting with the launch of the NCNW Macon-Middle Georgia Section provided valuable firsthand experience in community organizing and supporting mission-driven advocacy work. Serving as an usher allowed me to help create a welcoming, well-organized environment for community leaders, organizers, and new inductees dedicated to advancing equity, education, and resource access for women and families throughout Middle Georgia. Being part of this foundational milestone highlighted the power of collective leadership and strengthened my appreciation for active community engagement.

As a Church Media team leader assistant, I was responsible for recruiting and training volunteers and providing ongoing development for the media team. I also collaborated with pastoral and the worship team to plan and execute media aspects of services, ensuring high-quality audio, video, and lighting. I also handled live streaming and social media management.
Collaborated with NCNW Macon and the Alpha Rho Chapter of Lambda Kappa Mu Sorority, Inc. to assemble and deliver customized personal care and hygiene care packets for 5th-grade female students at Veteran’s Elementary. This initiative addressed poverty-driven health and resource disparities identified by local Community Health Needs Assessments in Macon-Bibb County, ensuring young students have direct access to essential daily wellness and hygiene supplies.
Navigating the transition into upper elementary school can significantly impact a young student's self-esteem, focus, and mental well-being. By providing accessible self-care and hygiene resources directly to students facing economic hardship, this project helped alleviate family strain and promoted healthy emotional and physical habits. Participating in this drive reinforced the importance of proactive community wellness, targeted resource distribution, and collaborative service in building equity and dignity for youth.
Serving in my church by running the cameras for the New Year’s Watch Night Service was a meaningful way for me to give back and support the ministry behind the scenes. Being trusted with this role allowed me to help ensure the service flowed smoothly and that the message reached everyone present and watching virtually.
Walking in the Greensboro Christmas Parade while spreading the word about the Food & Hunger Foundation was a meaningful way for me to serve my community during the holiday season. As I interacted with families and spectators, I shared information about the foundation’s mission to combat food insecurity and encouraged others to support efforts that ensure no family goes without a meal. Participating in this event allowed me to combine community engagement with advocacy, using my voice and presence to raise awareness for an important cause. This experience reinforced my passion for service and my commitment to uplifting communities through outreach and education.
In a vital act of community support, we partnered with Bethel AME and several other local congregations to distribute comforting soup. This effort directly addresses the increased food insecurity experienced by residents following government reductions in food assistance funding.
I attended Threads of Hope, a hands-on blanket-making event focused on supporting breast cancer patients and survivors. During this service-based activity, students used creativity and teamwork to make comforting blankets that provide warmth and hope to those facing breast cancer.
