This is for the ‘ Fall 2026 Virtual Career Fair: Business & Entrepreneurship, Hospitality & Culinary Arts, & Liberal Creative Arts’ with CD&I. Employers for Liberal & Creative Arts were not attending today, so I visited other employers and listened in on what they were looking for and networked. It was insightful and helped me understand what different employers were looking for.
I learned more info on the different degrees and which ones were transfer friendly and which one is not. We were given different scenarios to see if we understood the different degrees as well. It was very insightful and helped me learn more about the different degrees.
This game was fun. We won 4-1, and they were aggressive on the field, which made a good game. A fight almost started as well, but that was quickly resolved.
During this event, I learned about important dates and other information that I did not know about. I also learned about different events that would be important, such as the Student Elections and the college collaborating with other colleges. It was very insightful and helpful.
This is for the “Soft Skill to Get and Keep a Job” from CD&I. We learned about what soft skills (such as teamwork and communication) would be important to get / keep for a job and what would be looked for. It was very insightful.
Our team lost again, but it was still interesting. A bit more aggressive than the Women’s team, but that’s what made it more fun in my opinion. Also took photos of this game for fun as well.
This was for the Prince George's Community College Soccer vs. Harford Community College (Women’s Team). Our team lost, but it was overall a good game. I went with my family, and we had fun watching. Took some photos as well for fun.
This is for the webinar: “Build Your Resume with Little or No Work Experience” with CD&I. We learned about how to build our resumes and were given some tips on how to format resumes, along with additional tips. It was very insightful.
I was refreshed on info regarding GivePulse and how to move through the website again. Learned about the new official / unofficial updates that happened to GivePule and what to do with it.
