Stress, Burnout, and the Pressure to Succeed (Mental Health/Wellness Mini-Session

I enjoyed this mini session a lot, it helped me realize the warning signs of burnout and I noticed that I experience many of them. I was also advised to not be afraid to seek help, which I needed to hear.

    Fireside Chat: Investment and Wealth
This event was very beneficial in gaining some knowledge about saving, credit, and investing. I knew a lot about credit before walking into this meeting, however, I can now say I am confident about my credit moving forward.

    Refresh Session (4th Session)

This was a nice refresher from summer break. Although most things discussed I didn’t really forget about, but it was nice to see everyone’s face. Looking forward to a great semester again with Promise!

End of Semester Spring 2026 (mandatory meeting)

The meeting was basically a recap of the promise scholarship requirements. Overall, I enjoyed my first year of college and I am grateful to the Promise Staff for assisting me along the way.

CTE CAREER MADNESS Interview Game Strong (Personal Wellness - Mini Session)

I was already slightly familiar with the interview process before this mini session. However, a lot of great information was shared that I can take into my next interview. For example, after every interview i’ve had, I always left without asking the interviewer any questions, but I now know that that’s a big mistake and the interviewer is more likely to hire me if I seem interested in the job and inquire about the position. One question I will be sure to ask in my next interview, based on the information shared in the meeting, is “what are the main responsibilities for this position?”
