Howard University Red Cross Blood Drive

Donating Blood was a good experience. I used to do it often back home so it I am scared of needles or anything therefore I was not nervous. I like knowing that I could save a life with something that takes 20 minutes to do. My cousin had sickle cell so I think it's important for me to do my part and help someone as I have experienced someone in my life needing blood transfusions. It's definitely something I will do every chance I get especially when they come to campus. The blood typing Lab was on the same day so I also learned that my blood type can go to anybody with a positive blood type as I am O+ and that means I can reach more people which makes it much more worth it.

    Election Day Volunteers

Phone banking was an enjoyable new experience. It really puts my perspective of being a Howard student into focus as I likely would not have become so focused on the election and how important it is without the community of people here to remind me of why I need to vote and why I need to get involved in voting. I enjoyed Phone banking as I felt I did my part in getting people out there to vote.
