    ReFresh Session (5th session-FINAL)

I knew all of these, but it was still a good refresher. I enjoyed the Kahoot game because I like it when the meetings are interactive. Overall, I enjoyed the meeting.

End of Semester Meeting [Mandatory] (Friday)

I enjoyed the session. I felt a bit of shade, but it's understandable. I can understand how annoying it can be to continuously answer questions you have already answered when people are selfish about signing up for events and being accountable. The goal is to help us become proper humans in society, but it was still a bit shady. Overall, I knew most of what was talked about during the session, or it didn't apply to me. And this session felt very scolding. I know it's all out of wanting better for us, though.

GROW: Personal & Professional Growth through Education & Enrichment (mini-session)

This mini-session was the least impactful for me compared to others. I truly appreciated hearing about her journey and the challenges she overcame. Seeing someone navigate difficult circumstances and come out stronger is always inspiring. Her resilience and ability to pivot were commendable. However, as the session continued, the focus shifted toward extended storytelling rather than actionable insights, making it harder for me to stay engaged or take away practical advice. That said, I’m still grateful for the opportunity to hear her perspective and gain wisdom in such an honest and personal way.

The Blueprint for Success - Resume Workshop (mini session)

Overall, I really enjoyed the presentation. I feel the PowerPoint explained everything well, and the presenters were informative. My favorite part was the scenario at the very end because it really made sure I understood what was just explained.

MYPGCC Overview (Academic Wellness mini Session #2) [Virtual]

This session was the least helpful because I already knew most new page features. I didn't know you could change and organize your page the way you want. Also, I don't have any suggestions because I honestly like how the new page is set up.

The Impact of Social Media and Perfectionism on College Students (Mental Health - SSP Mini Session #3) [Virtual]

I heavily enjoyed the mini session. I am a big supporter of bettering my and others' mental health (which is why I am a psychology major). Before the meeting, I already knew the impact social media has had on my mental health, but seeing other people's feelings made me realize that this is something my entire generation goes through. Social media, especially at a young age, made me extra self-conscious and self-critical. I would compare myself and still do sometimes to beautiful celebrities like Megan Thee Stallion or Latto. I believe less screen time, more socialization in person, and realizing that we are all human and only post the best parts of ourselves.

Navigate (Academic wellness) - Scholarship "mini" session #2

We started the session by doing icebreakers about what choice was the greatest of all time. Then we began discussing planning an advisor meeting and why meeting with your advisor is essential. Then, we learned about same-day advising for quick questions and how to use it. She also gave us a mini-tour of the advising webpage. The best times to meet with my advisor would be first thing in the morning (8 am-9 am) or after the first week of school or the fall semester (September - November) and spring (February - April). Some of the worst times are during August and January and the last week before winter break. Then, we went over Navigate progress reports. Navigate progress reports are initiated by the professor, submitted multiple times a semester, and sent out to any class. Reasons differ on why you get a navigate progress report. Lack of participation, in danger of receiving an N/A or FX, barely doing assignments, poor attendance, poor performance on assignments/ exams, can benefit from extra help, and non-academic concerns that may impact the school. Then we look at what to do if I receive a navigate progress report. First, don’t panic; check assignments on Canvas; follow up with the professor; meet with my assigned advisor; and lastly, use campus resources. Then, she explained the difference between dropping and withdrawing classes. Overall, this was very enlightening and helped me learn about the differences between Navigate progress reports because I initially didn’t even know there were Navigate progress reports. I also got some information on when Scholarship progress reports will be due.
