We went into an assembly line and packed around 400 boxes of canned goods. I was tasked to fill the boxes with canned chicken. Working together with other people was definitely a task but also very rewarding!

Today, we were in charge of the waste materials in the food bank. We divided the waste in the boxes from cans and non-cans and disposed of each type respectively. We had to go outside and empty the non-can waste into dumpsters and then we came inside and double-bagged plastic bags. It was very windy and cold being that we were outside but despite this it was a very successful session.

We completed the service order for the senior citizens food bank project, so we were able to create and pack the rest of the 400 boxes. It was definitely a lot of work but it was also fun and I'm glad that I was able to contribute.

We packaged up 360 boxes of canned goods for the elderly, so I'm proud that I was able to contribute to feeding people who cannot afford food. I thoroughly enjoyed today's experience and am grateful for the impact being made in the local communities in D.C.
